I love my Turbo 5 burner. She's done me well for just under 12 years now. However, the original flame tamers failed over time: the metal was rusted and twisted, and many of the briquettes had disintegrated. The Turbo S/S Flame Tamer product is a different design than my original flame tamers, and the difference is good. I love the stainless - easier to clean if I so choose to. Plus the removable briquettes are great - easy to replace if needed. Best of all is how they fit - they provide a tighter fit with fewer gaps, and I'm seeing noticeable improvement in how the grill operates now - temperature is more even across the grill and there are fewer flare-ups. She's cooking like a new grill. Very happy with this purchase.

We purchased our second Elite Turbo grill late fall of 2006 and had acceptable results, although the grill temperature never achieved the height expected. We finally replaced the four Flame Tamers with the new model. The improvement is astonishing and very welcome. This is now the great grill we always wanted. After all these years of heavy use the ignition and burners work without fail. We are very satisfied with the product and only wish that we still had a retail outlet in Northern Virginia.
