Here are some tips to help make your meal a hassle free success:
- To keep from burning the chicken, brown it over direct medium heat for about 5 minutes, then finish it off using indirect heat in a covered grill. This method will help cook it evenly, controlling flare-ups and deliver juicy, delicious chicken to your table. For more on indirect cooking click here.
- Don't apply the barbecue sauce to the chicken until the last 5 -10 minutes of grilling. Sauce applied to early will tend to burn, making a mess of both your chicken and your grill!
- You can pre-grill the chicken the day before, so that at your cook out all you have to do is re-heat on the grill and apply the sauce.
- As opposed to making your own, save time and effort by using one of our barbecue sauces. For our online selection of sauces and marinades, click here.
