These ceramic briquettes appear the same as the original, but are not as thick. This makes the replacement very difficult because they fall out of the holders. With considerable time and effort the will work, since other options are limited. The shipping cost is too expensive!

the flame tamer does not accomodate briquettes in the corner slots- a bar of the metal blocks the briquette dropping in. I reported this to BBQ galore and was told this was the design.. Poor design in my opinion.
